Meghan and Harry’s Son Will Never Get Bored Growing Up at Windsor… Here’s Why!

With their first baby already born, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now busy preparing for the next chapter in their lives, having moved into their new family home in Windsor. And while the royal pair have been accustomed to married life in London, the couple made a truly monumental decision to bring up their child, just over 100 miles away from the city.

It was announced in December 2018 that Prince Harry and Meghan would be moving to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate just before the arrival of their first-born child. Harry and Meghan’s new home holds a special charm for the couple, which faces the stunning grounds of their grand wedding reception venue, the Frogmore House, located inside Windsor’s private Home Park. What are the fun activities the Royal Couple and their kids will get to enjoy as a family? Take a look at our list below for suggestions:

Windsor Castle

Of prime importance, Prince Harry and Meghan will take all-access trips to every room in the Windsor Castle. Their future kids will, no doubt enjoy learning much more about the great Castle, its long history and its splendid treasures. They will have access to all State Apartments, including the Green Drawing Room which was used as the background for the couple’s official wedding photos.

Queen Mary’s Doll House

Officially, this is the world’s biggest Doll House and comes complete with all essential amenities like electric lights, lifts, flushing loos, as well as cold and hot water. This was built in the early 1920s, and the Doll house was a gift to Queen Mary for her stupendous efforts in the First World War. It is much more luxurious than many life-sized homes.

Windsor Great Park

The park is perfect for long walks, family picnics, and is safe for horse riding and cycling. With more than 4,800 acres to explore, the children will be spoilt for choice: a stroll along the Long Walk, or stunning views of The Saville Garden or a play zone on Obelisk Lawn. For something on the wild side, they could visit to the enclosed Deer Park, with over 500 deer roaming freely.

Legoland

The Legoland Windsor Resort has been designed as a unique family theme park where children can enjoy an action-packed and fun-filled day.  There are 55+ interactive rides, building workshops, live shows, attractions, and driving schools, and an overwhelming 80 million LEGO bricks in total, all set across 150 acres of stunning parkland.

The Eton Treasure Trail

Bang on their doorstep, Prince Harry, Meghan and their children could take part in many exciting treasure hunts when they visit the Eton Treasure Hunt Trail. Filled with plenty of hidden clues tucked inside signs, statues and landmarks, this trail is one of the outstanding ways to explore any historic place. It will surely bring back fond memories for Harry, who was a student at Eton College.
